Chemical composition and pharmacological properties
1 ml of Doxyor 10% contains doxycycline hyclate - 100 mg as an active ingredient. It is an antibacterial tetracycline drug. Doxycycline hyclate (a component of the drug) is a third-generation semisynthetic tetracycline antibiotic. It is active against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, several protozoans and agents of mycoplasmosis (including Escherichia coli, Haemophilus spp., Pasteurella spp., Salmonella spp., Staphylococcus spp., Treponema spp., Streptococcus spp., Clostridium spp., Chlamydia spp., Rickettsiae spp., Klebsiella spp., Bacteroides spp., Listeria spp. and Mycoplasma spp.).Indications
Use Doxyor 10% to treat and prevent pigs and poultry with colibacillosis, pasteurellosis, salmonellosis, staphylococcosis, chronic respiratory diseases, mycoplasmosis and other infections, agents of which are sensitive to doxycycline.Contraindications
Increased individual sensitivity to the drug components. It is not allowed to use in animals with frank functional renal and hepatic impairments, pregnant and lactating sows, as well as in laying hens and henny replacements above 16 weeks old due to doxycycline accumulation in eggs. Do not use in combination with muscle relaxants, antibacterial antibiotics, mineral supplements and drugs containing salts of calcium, magnesium, iron and aluminium (due to potential decrease in absorption of antibiotic).Dosage and administration
Oral individual or group administration with drinking water. Doses are listed below:• pigs - 1 ml per 10 kg of body weight (10 mg of doxycycline per 1 kg of body weight) once a day within 5 days;
• poultry - 0.5-1.0 ml per 1 l of drinking water (50-100 mg of doxycycline per 1 l of water) within 3-5 days.
Only water with the drug is allowed to be consumed during treatment. Every day prepare medical solution aimed at daily water consumption.
