Benefits
- Broad-spectrum antimicrobial effect against bacterial pathogens in fish
- A combination of two active substances prevents the rapid development of resistance of organisms
Composition and pharmacological properties.
COLIFLOX oral contains enrofloxacin – 100 mg and colistin sulfate – 1,000,000 IU per 1 ml as active ingredients, and lactic acid, sodium metabisulfite and purified water as excipients.
A combination of enrofloxacin (fluoroquinolones) and colistin sulfate (polypeptide antibiotics) provides a broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity of the drug against gram-positive and gram-negative organisms.
Indications
"COLIFLOX® oral" is prescribed to fish for treatment and prevention - in aeromonosis, pseudomonosis, myxobacteriosis and other bacterioses, caused by pathogens sensitive to enrofloxacin and colistin.
Contraindications.
COLIFLOX® oral is contraindicated in animals with an individual hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. It is not intended for fish during the breeding season.
Posology and method of administration
In fish "COLIFLOX® oral" is used at a daily dose of 0.2 ml/kg bodyweight with granular feed once a day for 7 consecutive days. In salmon and sturgeon, 40 ml of the product is homogeneously mixed with 1 kg of feed and dried to the initial moisture content of the feed. The resulting mixture is fed to fish at the rate of 5 kg of the mixture per 1 ton of fish per day. In cyprinid fish, 20 ml of the product is homogeneously mixed with 1 kg of feed and dried to the initial moisture content of the feed. The resulting mixture is fed to fish at the rate of 10 kg of the mixture per 1 ton of fish per day.
Special warnings.
The timing of catching and using fish for food purposes after the end of the drug is calculated by dividing the degree-days (for cyprinid and sturgeon fish - 589, for salmon fish - 300) by the average water temperature in the reservoir.
Storage.
Store the drug in the manufacturer's packaging, in a dry place protected from direct sunlight at 5 to 25 ° C. The shelf life of the drug, when stored at the appropriate conditions, is 2 years.
