Chemical composition and pharmacological properties
1 g of Filomed contains 200 mg of levamisole hydrochloride as an active ingredient.
It is an antinematodal drug. Levamisole hydrochloride (a component of the drug) has antihelmintic effect on both mature Philometroides and larvas.
Mechanism of action includes succinate dehydrogenase inhibition leading to energy metabolism disorder and irreversible changes in intestinal tube, sexual system and cuticular covering. As a result, all those facts cause death of worms.

Dosage and administration
Daily dose is 0.5 g per 1 kg of fish body weight. Administer with feed, twice, 24 hours apart. Calculate feed amount on the base of daily consumption by free group feeding. Water temperature must be ≥15°С.
Overdose: potential chaotic swimming and balance disorder. In this case stop feeding, increase water exchange and aeration.
Fish can be caught and eaten in 9 days after the last drug administration.
Store in closed original package. Protect from moisture. Store separately from food and animal feeding at -10…+30°С. Shelf life is 2 years from manufacturing date.
