Chemical composition and pharmacological properties

1 ml contains 250 mg of tilmicosin phosphate as an active ingredient. Tilmicosin is a macrolide antibiotic. It has broad-spectrum antibacterial effect on Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus sрр, Pasteurella sрр, Согynеbасtеrium руоgеnеs, Асtinomyces руоgenes, Наemophilus sрр., Согynеbасtеrium руоgеnеs and Мусорlasmа sрр. After oral administration tilmicosin well and rapidly absorbs in gastrointestinal tract with further penetration in most of organs and tissues obtaining peak serum concentration in 2-3 hours. Therapeutic concentration remains within 24 hours.

Indications

Use against pasteurellosis, actinomycosis and mycoplasmosis in calves, piglets, broiler chickens and breeding poultry.

Contraindications

Do not use in laying hens with esculent eggs, adult ruminants with developed ruminal digestion and animals with renal and hepatic dysfunctions. It is not allowed to use in combination with ionophoric coccidiostatic preparations and aminoglycoside antibiotics.

Administration

Pigs, broiler chickens and breeding poultry: individual or group administration with drinking water. Daily dose is 15-20 mg per 1 kg of body weight within 3-5 days:
• poultry - 0.3 ml per 1 l of water;
• piglets - 0.8 ml per 1 l of water.
Calves: individual administration with drinking water or milk (0.5 ml per 10 kg of body weight) twice a day within 3-5 days.

Adverse events

Adverse events and complications are not generally observed in case of administration as per this package insert.

Waiting period

Pigs and poultry are allowed to be slaughtered for meat not earlier than 16 days after the last drug administration. This term is 35 days in calves.

Storage

Store in closed original package. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children and animals. Store separately from food and animal feeding at 5-25°С.

Pharmaceutical form

The drug is manufactured in 0.1 and 0.25 l polymeric and glass bottles; 0.5 and 1 l polymeric bottles; 2 and 5 l cans.
