Chemical composition and pharmacological properties
As active ingredients, 1 ml contains-sulfafurazole -178 mg, tylosin tartrate-35 mg, trimethoprim-35 mg. Tylosin tartrate is an antibiotic of the macrolide group, active against Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Clostridium spp., Corynebacteriurn spp., Pasteurella spp., Treponema spp., Chlamydia spp., Spirocheta spp. as well as Mycoplasma spp. Sulfafurazole is a synthetic compound from the group of sulfonamides. Trimethoprim is a synthetic derivative of diaminopyrimidine. In combination, sulfafurazole and trimethoprim have a synergistic effect against Corynebacterium pyogenes, Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, Staphylococcus spp., Fusobacterium necrophorum,Pasteurella spp., Bordetella bronchiseptica.
Indications
Pigs and poultry for therapeutic and prophylactic purposes for pasteurellosis, clostridiosis, staphylococcosis, streptococcosis, chlamydia, mycoplasmosis, bordetellosis, chronic respiratory diseases and other infections, the pathogens of which are sensitive to the components of the drug.
Contraindications
Increased individual sensitivity to the components of the drug. Laying hens, whose eggs will be used as food for humans. Animals with renal and hepatic insufficiency.
Dosage and administration
Apply with water for drinking in the following doses: poultry 1-1. 5 ml per 1 liter of water daily for 3-5 days; pigs-1 ml per 10 kg of animal weight daily for 3-5 days.
Adverse events
Side effects and complications when using the Sulf-complex in accordance with this instruction have not been established. In case of allergic reactions, the use of the drug is discontinued and antihistamines and, if necessary, symptomatic treatment are prescribed.
Waiting period
Slaughter for pig and poultry meat is allowed no earlier than 28 days after the last use of the drug.
Storage
The Sulf-complex is stored in the closed packaging of the manufacturer,in a dry place, protected from direct sunlight, inaccessible to children and animals, separately from food and feed, at a temperature of 5°C to 25°C.
