Product benefits:

- Monodrug for combined therapy.
- Convenient method of administration.
Chemical composition and pharmacological properties
100 ml of Iversan contain ivermectin - 4 mg (as an active ingredient) and excipients.Iversan is a macrocyclic lactone antiparasitic drug.
Ivermectin (a component of the drug) is active against larval and mature development phases of gastrointestinal and pulmonary roundworms, fleas, sucking lice, lice, biting lice, louse flies, sarcoptic and mole ticks parasitizing pigs, poultry, fur animals and dogs.
Mechanism of ivermectin action involves influence on chloride ions current level through membranes of nervous and muscle cells of a parasite. Primary targets are glutamate-gated chloride channels and GABA receptors. Change in chloride ions current level damages neural impulse conduction resulting in paralysis and death of parasites. Ivermectin well absorbs in gastrointestinal tract with further penetration in organs and tissues obtaining peak blood concentration in 4-6 hours (pigs and carnivorous animals) or 1 hour (poultry) after oral administration. This active ingredient is mainly excreted unchanged in feces and partially in urine. Also it is excreted in milk of lactating animals.
