Chemical composition and properties
The drug contains ciflutrin and citronella essential oil. Ciflutrin (a component of the drug) has contact insecticidal and repellent effect. It is active against flies including gadflies, botflies, mosquitoes, black flies and zoophilous flies. After dermal application it slightly absorbs with further distribution along the body surface providing long-term insecticidal repellent action. Mechanism of ciflutrin insecticidal action involves impairment of the neural impulse transmission causing motor dysfunction, paralysis and death of insects.Flyblock is a marginally hazardous substance (12.1.007-76 All Union State standard Hazard Category 4). When used in recommended doses, the drug does not provide resorptive toxic and skin irritative effect; induces mild irritation in case of contact with
eyes. Indications
Use to protect cattle from gadflies, botflies, mosquitoes, black flies and zoophilous flies during pasture season.Contraindications
Increased individual sensitivity to the drug components.Dosage and administration
Apply 10 ml per cow on dry intact skin along the spinal column (from withers to sacrum). Protective effect starts in 3-4 hours after administration and lasts up to 28 days after a single processing.During active insect flight season process animals 3-4 weeks apart in case of simultaneous treatment of all the livestock. Process milking cows after milking operation.
