Chemical composition and pharmacological properties
FITEX calming drops fall into sedative vegetable-based drugs.1 ml contains valerian rootstock dense extract - 25 mg, motherwort dry extract - 25 mg, common hop dry extract - 25 mg, Baikal skullcap dry extract - 25 mg (as active ingredients).
Vegetable components of FITEX calming drops normalize nervous system activity, stabilize cardiovascular system and blood pressure, provide soft sedative, antispasmodic and anxiolytic (easing fear) effect.
Indications
Use FITEX calming drops in fear, phobias, excitement, aggression, excessive vocal activity (persistent barking, whining, loud mew), indoor smelling markings, as well as to correct canine and feline adverse behaviour during training and estrus.Early medication administration enables to prevent stressful events caused by transportation, guest arrival, shows, visit to veterinary clinic, grooming saloons and zoohotels in strong excited animals. Also it is used for master separation syndrome inhibition.
Contraindications
Individual increased sensitivity to the drug components, hypotension. Do not use FITEX calming drops in Greyhounds due to known cases of their hypersensitivity to hop cone substances.Dosage and administration
Orally administer FITEX calming drops on the base of tongue / in the cheek pouch or with small amount of treat an hour before feeding for 3 times a day within 15-30 days. Doses are listed below.• cats - 3-5 drops;
• dogs - 1 drop per 1 kg of body weight.
Adverse events
Adverse events and complications are generally not observed in case of FITEX calming drops administration as per package insert. The drug can intensify effect of hypnotic drugs.Storage
Store FITEX calming drops in closed original package. Protect from direct sunlight and moisture. Store separately from food and animal feeding at 5-30°С.Shelf life is 18 months from manufacturing date.
