Enroprim solution for oral use

Enroprim is manufactured in 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 ml glass or polymeric bottles; 500 and 1000 ml polymeric bottles; 2.5, 4 and 5 l polymeric cans.

Chemical composition and pharmacological properties

1 ml of the drug contains enrofloxacin - 100 mg and trimethoprim - 50 mg (as active ingredients). Enrofloxacin (a fluroquinolone antibiotic) is active against Escherichia coli, Haemophikus spp., Pasteurella spp., Salmonella spp., Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Clostridium perfringens, Bordetella spp., Campylobacter spp., Corynebacterium pyogenes., Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Mycoplasma spp. Trimethoprim (a diaminopyrimidine-based compound) has broad-spectrum antibacterial effect. It is active against Escherichia coli, Klebsiella spp., Salmonella spp., Enterobacter spp., Proteus spp., Shigella spp., Haemophilus spp. and Chlamidia.

Indications

Use in brolier chickens, henny replacements and turkeys to treat and prevent colibacillosis, salmonellosis, chronic respiratory diseases, streptococcosis, necrotic enteritis, Glasser's disease, mycoplasmosis, combined infections and secondary ones associated with viral diseases, agents of which are susceptible to enrofloxacin and trimethoprim.

Contraindications

Do not use in laying hens due to active ingredient accumulation in eggs. It is not allowed to use in combination with bacteriostatic antibiotics, theophyllin, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, as well as with magnesium and calcium supplements.

Administration

Oral administration by rearing. Daily dose is 0.5-1.0 ml per 1 l of potable water within 3 days (salmonellosis and combined infections) or 5 days (chronic diseases).

Adverse events

Adverse events and complications are not generally observed in case of administration as per this package insert.

Special warnings

Poultry are allowed to be slaughtered for meat not earlier than 11 days after the last drug administration.

Storage

Store in closed original package. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children and animals. Store separately from food and animal feeding at 5-25°С.
