Chemical composition and pharmacological properties
The drug contains ciprofloxacin - 50 mg/ml (as an active ingredient), as well as amber acid - 10 mg/ml (as an excipient).Ciprofloxacin (a fluroquinolone antibiotic) is active against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria (including Echerichia coli, Salmonella spp., Shigella spp., Klebsiella spp., Enterobacter spp., Proteus spp., Yersinia spp., Haemophilus spp., Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Pasteurella multocida, Plesiomonas shigelloides, Campylobacter jejuni, Brucella spp., Chlamydia trachomatis, Listeria monocytogenes, Mycobacterium spp., Corynebacterium diphtheriase, Staphylococcus spp. and Streptococcus spp.). Amber acid is a natural antioxidant.
Indications
Treatment of dogs and cats with infectious diseases of gastrointestinal tract, airways, urogenital system, joints, soft tissues and skin, umbilical infections, atrophic rhinitis, bronchial pneumonia, colibacteriosis, salmonellosis, pasteurellosis, mycoplasmoses and other primary and secondary bacterial infections agents of which are susceptible to ciprofloxacin.Use in cattle, sheep, goats and pigs with infections of gastrointestinal tract, airways, urogenital system, joints, soft tissues and skin, necrobacillosis, umbilical infections, atrophic rhinitis, bronchial pneumonia, colibacillosis, salmonellosis, pasteurellosis, mycoplasmosis, mastitis-metritis-agalactia syndrome and other infections, agents of which are susceptible to ciprofloxacin.
Contraindications
Do not use in milking animals, pregnant and lactating females, animals with renal and hepatic diseases, as well as with cartilage tissue development disorders and nervous system affections; in increased individual sensitivity to fluroquinolones. It is not allowed to use in combination with bacteriostatic antibiotics (levomycetin, macrolides and tetracyclines), theophyllin and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.Administration
Administer subcutaneously to dogs and cats in amount of 1 ml per 10 kg of body weight within 5-10 days.Subcutaneous or intramuscular administration. 1 ml per 20 kg of body weight once a day within 3-5 or 2 days (pigs with mastitis-metritis-agalactia syndrome).
