Chemical composition and pharmacological properties

1 tablet of the drug contains praziquantel - 50 mg and pyrantel pamoate - 150 mg (as active ingredients), as well as excipients.
The mechanism of praziquantel action (a component of the drug) includes broad-spectrum antihelmintic effect on all development phases of tapeworms parasitizing dogs and cats, induces paralysis and death of a worm.
Praziquantel absorbs into gastrointestinal tract. Peak plasma concentration is achieved in 30-60 min.
The mechanism of pyrantel pamoate action includes broad-spectrum antihelmintic effect against roundworms. Lower absorption provides long-term effect of pyrantel pamoate on intestinal worms.

Indications

For treatment and prevention of canine nematodosis (toxocarosis, toxascaridosis, uncinariosis, ankylostomosis) and cestodiasis (teniasis, dipylidiasis, echinococcosis diphyllobothriasis, mesocestoidosis).

Contraindications

Do not use in pregnant and lactating female dogs within 10 days after delivery, as well as in puppies under 3 weeks old. Idiosyncrasy.

Dosage and administration

Azinox plus for dogs is intended for individual oral administration in a single dose with small amount of feed during a morning feeding or forced administration (1 tablet per 10 kg of body weight).
Previous starvation diet and cathartics administration are not necessary before animal deworming.
Treatment: according to indications. Prevention: quarterly, in therapeutic dose.
Deworm farm and shepherd dogs against teniasis agents at every 45 days since December till April and every 30 days since May till November.

Adverse events

Stop drug administration in case of increased sensitivity to active drug ingredients and allergic reactions.

Storage

Store Azinox plus for dogs in closed original package. Protect from light and moisture. Store separately from food and animal feeding at 0-25°С. Keep out of the reach of children and animals.

Pharmaceutical form

Plain yellow tablets with a scoreline on one side and logo (a cross in the center of shield) on another. 3 or 6 tablets in blister pack. Outer package - carton.
