Composition and pharmacological properties.
Vitamin D3 in 1 ml contains as active substance: Vitamin D3 15000 (12750-17250) IU, as well as excipients: butylhydroxyanisole - 1 (0.9-1.1) mg, glycerin - 350 (315-385) mg , collifor - 270 (243-297) mg, citric acid - 0.3 (0.27-0.33) μg and purified water to 1 ml.
Vitamin D3 feed supplement makes up for vitamin D3 deficiency in poultry.
Vitamin D3 improves the absorption of calcium and phosphorus, increases the digestibility of magnesium, iron, manganese, cobalt and zinc in the small intestine, stimulates the formation of bone substance and the deposition of calcium, phosphorus and magnesium in the bones, improves the reverse absorption (reabsorption) of phosphates and amino acids in the renal tubules as well as absorption of vitamin B12 in the intestines. Vitamin D3 affects the metabolism of carbohydrates, providing a stimulating effect on the phosphorylation of thiamine and the synthesis of carboxylase; It is an inducer of the synthesis of calcium-binding protein, which in turn contributes to the formation of a strong egg shell and prevents the "casting" of eggs.
Indications for use.
Vitamin D3 feed supplement is designed to normalize metabolism (increase the absorption of macro- and micronutrients, improve mineralization and bone condition, maintain the function of the medial bone of laying hens, prevent fractures), increase the productivity and preservation of poultry, and improve egg quality.
Contraindications
Contraindications to the use of feed additives Vitamin D3 not found.
Doses and order of application.
The feed additive is used for agricultural birds (hens to laying hens of the parent herd, laying hens for the industrial herd), turkeys fed orally in a group manner with water for drinking at a dose of 100-200 ml per 1000 l of water. Depending on the age and condition of the bird (the presence of signs of hypovitaminosis), one of the following modes of application of the feed additive is used:
- three consecutive days once a month for 2 months (for poultry of the first phase of productivity or the peak of productivity, poultry in the first days of life);
- three days in a row, twice a month for 2 months (for poultry at the peak of productivity or at the peak of productivity, fattening turkeys during the period of active growth and development);
- once a week for 1-2 months (for a bird that has passed the peak of productivity, poultry, turkeys during the final stage of feeding).
Water containing a feed supplement should be the only source of drinking water. A vitamin solution is prepared daily based on the daily requirement of birds for water.
If necessary, courses of application of the feed additive can be repeated.
The dosage of the feed supplement can be adjusted taking into account the content of vitamin D3 in the diet of birds.
Side effects.
With increased individual sensitivity to the active components of the drug, refusal to feed, the appearance of vomiting, impaired coordination of movements is possible. When side effects occur, the use of the drug is stopped. Symptoms of an overdose of a drug may manifest as severe inhibition; rapid breathing and palpitations appear.
Waiting period.
Poultry products obtained during and after the application of the feed additive can be used for food purposes without restriction.
Storage.
The additive is stored in the manufacturer’s sealed packaging, in a place protected from moisture and direct sunlight, at a temperature of 2 ° C to 25 ° C. Shelf life subject to storage conditions is 2 years from the date of manufacture.
