Chemical composition and pharmacological properties

The drug contains balanced set of lactulose (at least 50%), lactose and other carbohydrates. Vetelact performs several important functions in organism such as promotion of growth of bifido- and lactoflora, inhibition of pathogenic microflora development, acting as energy metabolites for epithelial cells and delivery of immunoglobulin A transport segment substrates. The prebiotic selectively promotes growth and development of protective (beneficial) intestinal microflora: bifidobacteria (including B.bifidum, B.longum, B.adolescentis, B.breve, B.infantis, B.pseudolongum, B.thermophilum, B.suis, B.asteroids, B.coryneform and others) and lactobacteria (L.acidophilus, L.casei and L.plantarum etc.). The drug promotes digestive improvement and affected mucosal reparation, increases bifido- and lactobacterial level, supports enhancement of colonization resistance in intestinal mucosa, provides prevention of hypobacterial diarrhea.

Dosage and administration

Oral individual or group administration with feed, milk or cool boiled water.
Piglets, adult pigs, calves under 10 days old, chickens, fur animals, dogs and cats - 0.1 ml of Vetelact per 1 kg of body weight, every day within 30 days.
Duplicate this dose, if appropriate.

Adverse events

Adverse events and complications are not observed in case of administration as per package insert.

Special warnings

The drug is compatible with feed supplements and veterinary drugs. Farm animal production is esculent without restriction after the drug administration.

Storage

Store in original package. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children and animals. Store separately from food and animal feeding at 0-25°С. Shelf life is 3 years from manufacturing date.
