Chemical composition and pharmacological properties

SMOK® insect50, 100 and 500, depending on the modification, as an active component contains cyflutrin - 5 g, 10 g and 40 g, respectively, as well as auxiliary substances.

In appearance, the product is a cylindrical product that is a smoke generator.

The synthetic pyrethroid cyflutrin, which is part of the product, has a pronounced contact effect against flies, bedbugs, cockroaches, fleas, lice, ixodes, sarcoptoid and gamase mites (including Dermanyssus gallinae), black-bodied beetles, down-eaters, horseflies, gadflies, midges, mosquitoes, wasps, ants, a complex of barn pests - barn weevil, rice, bread grinder, Surinamese flour eater, khrushchak, grain moth, as well as plant pests.

Cyflutrin specifically acts as a neurotoxin on the nerve synapses of arthropods, which leads to disruption of the transmission of nerve impulses from nerve cells to muscles, paralysis and death of the parasite.

SMOK® insect is a low-temperature product in which exothermic decomposition of reagents is used to form environmentally friendly nitrogen and carbon dioxide, which serve as carriers for cyflutrin. During the operation of the product, the active substance is sublimated in the form of an aerosol. During the exposure, aerosol condensation occurs and the entire surface of the treated object is completely covered with the active substance. In the smoke generator, the temperature rise is much less than in pyrotechnic products, since there is no gorenje process. The product does not cause corrosion of metal products and structures.

SMOK® insect, according to the degree of exposure to the body, refers to moderately dangerous substances (3rd hazard class according to GOST 12.1.007). Toxic to bees and hydrobionts.

Indications

SMOK® insect is used for disinsection and deacarization of veterinary surveillance facilities, including livestock and poultry premises, technical premises, empty (unloaded) warehouses and storages, private farmsteads, vehicles and equipment, as well as empty greenhouses, greenhouses and greenhouses against flies, bedbugs, cockroaches, fleas, lice, ixodes, sarcoptoid and gamaz mites (including Dermanyssus gallinae), black beetles, downworms, horseflies, gadflies, midges, mosquitoes, wasps, ants, a complex of barn pests - barn weevil, rice, bread grinder, Surinamese flour eater, khrushchak, grain moth, as well as plant pests.

Contraindications

Increased individual sensitivity to the drug components. Do not use in laying hens (due to drug accumulation in eggs); in contagious and debilitated animals; males and females within lay period; during the first half (sheep, goats and sows) and the first trimester of pregnancy (cows).

Dosage and administration

Before processing, it is necessary to hermetically isolate the room, turn off (or block) ventilation.

When processing, the estimated number of smoke generators should be placed on the refractory surface, open the lid and light the fuse. The person should leave the premises as soon as possible. Depending on the packaging, one smoke generator is designed for 50, 100 or 500 m3 of room volume. The exposure is 1 hour for flying insects and 2 to 4 hours for crawling insects and ticks. Repeated treatment against bedbugs, sarcoptoid and gamase mites (including Dermanyssus gallinae) is carried out after 7-10 days.

After the expiration of the set exposure, it is necessary to open windows and doors, turn on ventilation. Remove dead insects. Animals and birds are introduced into the premises after ventilation in 60 minutes.

Special warnings

The treatment is carried out in the absence of animals and birds, food and feed at a room temperature of at least 15 ° C.

Used smoke generators are disposed of with household waste after soaking in water for 1 hour.

Storage

SMOK® insect is stored in the manufacturer's closed packaging, in a place protected from direct sunlight, away from open flames and heating devices, at a temperature from 0 ° C to 25 ° C. The shelf life of the product, subject to storage conditions, is 2 years from the date of manufacture. Do not use after the expiration date.
