Chemical composition and pharmacological properties
FITODOC® repellent drops as active ingredients contain: neem essential oil, chrysanthemum essential oil, eucalyptus essential oil, diethyltoluamide, dimethicone and auxiliary components.
The composition of natural essential oils included in the drops has a wide range of repellent action against fleas, lice, hair eaters, mosquitoes, midges, ticks and is designed to protect cats from their attacks.
The action of essential oils is due to the high content of aldehydes and terpenes in them, which are embedded in the metabolism of arthropods and affect biochemical processes, causing a scaring effect.
Diethyltoluamide has repellent properties, effectively protects animals from bites of blood-sucking insects. The effect of diethyltoluamide is based on the weakening of the perception of olfactory receptors of arthropods, in connection with which insect disorientation in space may develop.
The dimethicone, which is part of the drops, glues the limbs of fleas, lice, hair eaters and ticks when moving through the animal's fur and irreversibly blocks the respiration of the ectoparasite. The physical principle of action of dimethicone excludes the possibility of the formation of resistance or habituation in insects and ticks to the active ingredients of drops. Dimethicone gives the animal's coat silkiness and shine, has an antistatic effect. It is easily washed off with water without detergents.
After applying the drops, the active ingredients are gradually distributed over the entire surface of the animal's body. Drops do not clog pores, do not interfere with skin respiration, are not absorbed into the blood and reliably protect the animal from the attack of a large range of blood-sucking insects and ticks
The drops mask the unpleasant smell of the animal's fur, giving the aroma of essential oils.
The protective effect of drops after application lasts up to 4 weeks, the duration depends on weather conditions and the frequency of bathing of the animal.

To achieve maximum effect, drops are applied to the largest number of points.
Repeated treatments during the season of insect and tick activity are recommended according to indications, but no more than 1 time per month or after washing. After washing the animal, the wool should be dried before applying drops.
