Chemical composition and pharmacological properties
1 ml of Febtal-combo contains praziquantel - 5 mg/ml and albendazole - 50 mg/ml as active ingredients, as well as excipients.Febtal-combo is manufactured for kittens, small puppies, medium and large puppies and adult dogs.
Mechanism of active ingredients (components of the drug) is based on inhibition of fumarate reductase, constant depolarization of worm muscular cells and energy exchange disorder resulting in paralysis and death of parasites and providing their excretion from gastrointestinal tract.
Indications
Use Febtal-combo for treatment and prevention of canine and feline nematodosis (toxocarosis, toxascaridosis, uncinariosis, trichocephaliasis, ankylostomosis), cestodiasis (taeniidosis, dipylidiasis, echinococcosis, diphyllobothriasis, mesocestoidosis) and combined nematode-cestodic invasions.Contraindications
Increased individual sensitivity to the drug active ingredients.Do not use in pregnant and lactating females, as well as in puppies and kittens under 3 weeks old.
Dosage and administration
Individual oral administration in a single dose with small amount of feed during a morning feeding or forced oral administration (1 ml of suspension per 1 kg of body weight).Before use carefully shake the bottle with suspension.
Previous starvation diet and cathartics administration are not necessary.
Deworming of animals weighting less than 0.5 kg: add 0.3 ml of boiled water to weighted dose of the drug immediately before oral administration, carefully shake and give suspension to an animal.
Treatment: according to indications. Prevention: quarterly, in therapeutic dose.
