Composition and pharmacological properties.

1 ml of the solution contains: tilmicosin phosphate - 50 mg, enrofloxacin - 50 mg, trimethoprim - 25 mg

 

Indications

ENTRIKIM 5% (10%) is used in food-producing animals and poultry in colibacteriosis, salmonellosis, chronic respiratory diseases, streptococcosis, necrotic enteritis, hemophilosis, mycoplasmosis, mixed and secondary infections, caused by pathogens sensitive to the active ingredients of the drug.

Contraindications.

The drug is contraindicated in animals sensitive to the components of the drug, adult ruminants with developed ruminal digestion, as well as laying hens due to the accumulation of tilmicosin, enrofloxacin and trimethoprim in eggs. It is not used in animals with kidney and/or liver dysfunction.

Do not co-administer the drug with bacteriostatic antibiotics (levomycetin, tetracycline), theophylline and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, as well as magnesium and calcium preparations.

How to use

The drug is administered to animals and poultry individually or in groups orally with drinking water once daily for 3-5 days at following doses:

- ENTRIKIM 5% is used in poultry at a daily dose of 1-2 ml/l of drinking water, ENTRIKIM 10% at a daily dose of 0.5-1 ml/l of water. In young birds the drug is used at a specified dose during the first 3 days of life, followed by the next treatment course on the 20th -22nd day of life for another 3 days;

- In pigs, calves, goats and lambs, the drug is administered with drinking water or a milk substitute at following doses: ENTRIKIM 5% - 1-2 ml per 10 kg of bodyweight, ENTRIKIM 10% - 0.5-1 ml per 10 kg of animal bodyweight.

During treatment period, animals and poultry should consume only water containing the drug. The therapeutic solution is prepared daily in a volume calculated for consumption over 24-hour period. When preparing stock solution, ENTRIKIM 5% (10%) must be added to the water, and not vice versa. Change the water to which the drug is added is updated every 24 hours.

Side effects.

According to the extent of exposure, the product belongs to the moderate-risk products. When used at recommended doses the product is well-tolerated by animals, has no embryotoxic, teratogenic and hepatotoxic effects.

Withdrawal period.

Slaughter of animals and poultry for meat is allowed not earlier than 22 days after the last dose.

Meat from animals forcibly slaughtered earlier than 12 days after the last drug administration can be used to feed fur-bearing animals or for processing into meat and bone meal.

 

Storage.

Shelf life of the drug when stored at the recommended conditions is 2 years from the date of manufacture. The shelf life in an opened package is not more than 28 days.

Store ENTRIKIM 5% (10%) in a closed original packaging, protected from direct sunlight, at 2°C to 25°C.
