Chemical composition and pharmacological properties
1 ml of Emidonol 20% contains emidonol® substance - 200 mg (as an active ingredient), as well as excipients.Emidonol 20% is antioxidant drug (free radical inhibitor).
The drug has frank antioxidant, antihypoxic and membrane-protective properties providing therapeutic and preventive effect in various hypoxias.
Mechanism of emidonol® action involves specific influence over energy metabolism by reducing lipid peroxidation in cellular membranes and free radical binding causing increase in cellular energy level in conditions of oxygen defect.
Indications
Use in pigs, poultry, rabbits, fur animals and nutrias as a part of combined therapy or prevention of diseases associated with hypoxia of organs and tissues (including acute and chronic cardiovascular and cardiopulmonary impairments, wound pathology, various stresses and intoxications; during recovery period after previous diseases and surgeries; in increased physical loads. The drug enhances feeding conversion and provides increase in gain in weight. The drug is used in pig production to increase productivity and breeding efficiency, to treat breast dysfunction, to prevent and treat stresses caused by transportation or animal overcrowding, as well as to enhance viability of growers. Also Emidonol 20% is used in poultry industry to prevent and treat stress caused by abrupt change of microclimate parameters (temperature rise, increase in ammonia level etc.), overcrowding and ration change, as well as in acute and chronic mycotoxin poisoning.Contraindications
Increased individual sensitivity to the drug components.Administration
Treatment: oral administration with drinking water twice a day. Doses are listed in the table. Course of use is 10-30 days. Prevention: once a day in therapeutic doses within 15-30 days. Repeat the course of use in 1-2 months, if necessary.Single doses of Emidonol 20%

Adverse events
Adverse events and complications are not generally observed in case of Emidonol 20% administration as per approved package insert. In case of increased individual sensitivity to the drug components and allergic reactions, stop administration and use antihistaminic and symptomatic drugs. Overdose symptoms are not detected in animals.
Waiting period
Animal production received during the drug administration can be used without restriction.
Storage
Store Emidonol 20% in closed original package. Protect from light and moisture. Store separately from food and animal feeding at 5-25°С. Shelf life is 2 years from manufacturing date when stored in accordance with regulations.
