Chemical composition and pharmacological properties
The drug contains 4.0% deltametrin (synthetic pyrethroid). Deltametrin has frank insecticidal acaricidal intestinal and contact effect on ectoparasites. It is active against sarcoptic and ixodic ticks, sucking lice, fleas and other animal ectoparasites.Mechanism of deltametrin action is based on blocking neuromuscular impulse transmission at the level of peripheral nerve ganglions causing paralysis and death of parasites.
When used in recommended doses, Delcid does not provide local irritative, resorptive toxic and sensitizing effect. The drug induces slight irritation in case of contact with mucosae. It is toxic for fish and bees.
Indications
Insecticidal acaricidal drug (concentrated emulsion) for external use against animal ectoparasites, as well as for desinsection and desacarisation of premises.Contraindications
Do not use Delcid in weakened and debilitated animals, as well as in females (later than 2 weeks before delivery).Dosage and administration
Spray short-haired animals with aqueous Delcid emulsion and bathe long-haired ones in it.Dissolve the drug in cool urban water in following concentrations:
Ixodic and itch ticks (including demodex), sucking lice, fleas, lice, flies, gadflies, blood-sucking insects |
Prevention: single dose per 1.6 l of water. Treatment: for 2 or 3 times, 7-10 days apart. Treat affected areas engaging till 1-2 cm of frontier healthy skin in focal perimeter. Wait for 7 days till 2 negative conclusion decisions of scrape microscopic testings. |

After processing leave the surface to dry. Ventilate a room.
Animal spraying sequence: conches, head, body, tail, anal area, limbs with consumption rate of 5-10 ml/kg of body weight. Avoid drug contact with animal eyes, nose or mouth.
Moisturize animal hair and leave to dry. Use muzzle or close animal jaws with a tape loop (remove it in 15-20 minutes after processing) to prevent drug licking. Do not bathe an animal with a shampoo within 3 days before and after processing. Use only freshly prepared emulsion!
Canine sarcotic mange: administer for 2-3 times, 7-10 days apart till animal clinical recovery confirmed by double negative result of acarological testings. Canine entomosis: according to indications.
Special warnings
Carefully wash your hands with warm water and soap immediately after use.
In case of Delcid contact with skin or mucosae, wash it away immediately with water or remove with a tampon and then wash it away with water or weakly alkaline solution.
Delcid and its aqueous emulsion are toxic for fish and bees.
Adverse events
Adverse events and complications generally are not observed in case of administration as per package insert. In case of increased individual sensitivity to deltametrin and complications (excess salivation, muscular shivering, vomiting), stop processing, wash the drug away with a washing agent and administer antihistaminic and symptomatic drugs. In this case stop further drug administration and perform desensitizing therapy.

Store in original package at 0-30°С. Protect from direct sunlight.
