Composition and pharmacological properties.

1 g of "Amoxiyantar granules" contain 115 mg of amoxicillin (in the form of trihydrate) as active ingredient; succinic acid, RUSNUT bulking agent, paraffin oil as excipients.

Appearance: yellow to brown granules with dark inclusions.

"Amoxiyantar granules" belongs to the penicillins pharmacotherapeutic group.

Amoxicillin trihydrate, which is an ingredient of the product, has a broad-spectrum antibacterial effect against most Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms, including: Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Corynebacterium spp., Pasteurella spp., Haemophilus spp., Actinobacillus spp., Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp., Moraxella spp., Fusobacterium spp., Clostridium spp., Bordetella spp., Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, Listeria monocytogenes.

Amoxicillin is a semi–synthetic antibiotic from the group of penicillins. The mechanism of action of amoxicillin is based on the inhibition of the functions of bacterial enzymes transpeptidases localized on the cytoplasmic membrane of a microbial cell. Through binding to transpeptidases, amoxicillin inhibits the synthesis of murein, the main material for the bacterial cell wall. As a result, the product affects osmotic balance of the microbial cell, makes the outer shell less stable and thereby causes bacterial lysis.

After oral administration amoxicillin is readily and rapidly absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract and, reaching the bloodstream, penetrates into all organs and tissues of the body. Time to maximum serum concentration is 1 hour post-dose. Amoxicillin is excreted with urine and feces mainly in unchanged form.

Indications.

"Amoxiyantar granules" are prescribed to pigs for treatment of respiratory, gastrointestinal and other primary and secondary bacterial diseases caused by pathogens sensitive to amoxicillin.

Contraindications.

Amoxiyantar granules are contraindicated in animals with individual hypersensitivity to beta-lactam antibiotics, as well as in severe liver and kidney injury.

How to use.
